The engine is a Deutz 5dZXL03.1039 Family, Model is BF 4M 2011  82 HPWe can assist in loading the machine since it does not operate under its own powerFreight can be coordinated with us LOCAL PICKUP IS FREEInfo-----------In 2000 Terex delivered to the US Marine Corps four essentially commercial TX51-19 rough terrain telescopic handlers for trials and evaluation. The trials lasted more than 12 months. During that time more than 300 000 t of material was handled. After the trials a number of modifications were made to the TX51-19 telehandler to better meet US Marine Corps requirements. The result was the TX51-19M, a military-specific rough terrain forklift. The "M" letter in the designation stands for "Military". In service it is referred as Light Rough Terrain Forklift or LRTF.

   First production contract for 569 machines was awarded to Terex in 2001. All of these forklifts were delivered in 2001 and 2002. These replaced a mast-type forklift, that has been in service with US Marine Corps for more than 10 years.

   The TX51-19M has a raised frame, engine mount and operator cab and increased ground clearance to meet fording requirement. It uses larger wheels than the commercial version. Also the TX51-19M has an uprated engine. Corrosion resistance was increased. Also there were some other modifications to make this commercial machine suitable for military use, fording, beach operations and helicopter transport. As a result weight of the vehicle increased from 4.3 t to 6.1 t.

   This all-terrain forklift is used to load and unload palletized cargo from trucks, containers, aircraft, and ships. The TX51-19M can hadle loads with a maximum weight of 2.3 t. This telehandler can accept other attachments, such as a bucket.

   The Terex TX51-19M has an enclosed one-person cab. It protects the operator from roll-over and falling objects.

   This load handling machine is powered by a Perkins 700 Series 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine, developing 80 hp. On commercial TX51-19 machines this engine is originally rated at 63 hp. This machine has a full-time all-wheel drive. There are 3 steering modes, including front wheel steering, all-wheel steering and crab steering. Vehicle has a built-in cold start ability. The engine can be started with a temperature down to -40°C.

Variants

   Terrex TX51-19MD an updated version, fitted with a Deutz BF4L2011 3.1-liter turbocharged diesel engine, developing 82 hp. Hence the "D" letter in the designation. In 2005 US Marine Corps ordered 82 of these machines. In 2010 another contract was signed to deliver 200 of these telehandlers to the US Marine Corps.
