Manitou Rought Terrain Forklift Truck Diesel Forklift Like Teleporter Dumper
Here we have my Manitou rough terrain forklift. It's a fantastic machine and I've only put it up for sale as I purchased a newer teleporter around 6 months ago for a specific requirement and haven't used this since so I don't need both. This machine is a like a tank and they certainly don't build them like this anymore. Its simple to use and super reliable. It weights around 6 tonnes and is handy for pulling machines out of the mud which. When new it would lift 3 tonne but would need some TLC to do that again although I'm sure it wouldn't take much. Please referrer to photos and you will see she can lift a full pallet of 400 x large old heavy handmade bricks to full height (I'm sure that's at least 1000Kg possibly 1200kg. The other picture shows her lifting this pallet and a further pallet of 300 Bricks so 700 bricks in total she can get around 2 tonne up off the ground and move around ok just can't lift heavy weight up high.
This truck is a very handy and reliable machine. It is old and noisy and smokes a bit but always has been like that in my posestion which is several years now. Starts on the button and even after having been sat all through winter with no use started straight away without jumping or easystart. brakes work well and has 4 gears in forward and reverse. Handbrake cable snapped several years ago and didn't bother replacing as the weight of the machine means she stays put.
Today I put a little air in both of the rear tyres which are well worn however they are foam filled and I think the last time I put air in was a couple of years ago so they hold air pretty well. I believe the two front tyres are also foam filled but tread is much better and they both hold air as I don't recall ever having filled air into these and still going strong. The seat covering is perished its comfortable enough but it will want doing. There are no major leaks that I am aware of but due to the age of the machine there are a few weeps here and there but literally these are just a couple of drips the last time I topped up the hydraulic oil was around 2 years ago when I replaced a hose.
I will be sorry to see her see her go as she has got me out of many sticky situations and I don't think I'll be lucky enough to ever have such a reliable machine again.
This is my own personal item and there is no vat. Cash on collection before she leaves my yard and I would rather you come and view and have a go.
