Auction Close

Winning Bidders will receive a complete Bay City Surplus invoice including appropriate sales tax (if applicable), shipping/handling fees (if applicable), complete payment information.

For All Items:Sales Tax

Bay City Surplus will invoice the appropriate sales tax if required. All items picked up are subject to sales tax if the Buyer has no valid resale certificate or tax-exempt certification on file. Provision of a valid resale certificate or tax-exempt certification with payment will exempt buyers from sales tax. Sales tax may be waived if the item is shipped directly to an out of state destination by common carrier. Sales tax is based on the current sales tax rate in the city and state from where the item is purchased.

Non-Paying Bidders 

If full payment is not RECEIVED within three (3) calendar days of auction close for general merchandise and seven (7) calendar days for vehicles, Bay City Surplus reserves the right to cancel the transaction and sell the item to another interested party. A $150 Cancellation Fee will be assessed upon cancellation and a Non-Paying Bidder alert will be filed with . If this Cancellation Fee is not paid the buyer will be blocked from any future bidding.

Bid Cancellation 

If you have inadvertently placed a bid or otherwise are unable to abide by terms of our listing, Bay City Surplus will agree to cancel your transaction if contact with Bay City Surplus is made within 36 hours of the original auction end date and time. In all instances, a $50 fee will be assessed to accommodate lost time and money on the part of Bay City Surplus and the selling entity. We appreciate your understanding of this matter.
